This study was based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of household surveys conducted from November 2017 to January 2018 by expert interviews in Bedthi and Aghanashini Conservation Reserves. TREC conducted the study with the following points in focus: i) understanding the attitude of locals towards the conservation of that area, ii) relevant factors that influence awareness towards conservation among the locals, and iii) prior requirements of locals regarding conservation management. This study aimed to support nature workers, NGOs and politicians in improving public relations work and to inform and motivate locals towards Nature Conservation Reserves and their protection. This research study was a part of Lisa Andresen’s Master’s Thesis and was done in collaboration with the Department of Studies in Landscape Ecology and Nature Conservation, University of Greifswald, Germany.
