Snake conservation efforts are crucial for protecting these often misunderstood reptiles. Many snake species face threats like habitat loss, climate change, and persecution from humans who wrongly view them as universally dangerous. TREC is dedicated towards snake conservation by providing treatment and rehab for injured, sick, or displaced snakes. TREC aims to preserve snake habitats, lobby for legal protections, and educate the public about snake’s positive ecological roles.

Our organisation has constructed a chain network of snake rescuers in the North Canara district of Karnataka to collect monthly rescue data to study density and habitat. TREC also conducts snake rescue training for Forest Department personnel and public awareness programs in various schools, colleges, and villages. TREC has distributed rescue kits for many snake rescuers for safe handling and rehabilitation purposes.
