Who are we?
The Tropical Rainforest Ecological Camp (TREC), is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the most vulnerable and important natural areas through conservation efforts on the ground. Our mission is to safeguard biodiversity hotspots, restore degraded ecosystems, create awareness of nature conservation, and promote sustainable environmental policies.
TREC is a beacon in this quest to unveil the marvels of the natural world. A registered organization driven by the mission of Research, Conservation, and Education – TREC invites us to immerse ourselves in the lush splendour of the tropics. But TREC’s mission extends far beyond mere appreciation. It’s a hub for researchers, a place where curious minds can explore the natural world’s wonders and mysteries. From the tallest trees to the creatures of forest floor, TREC empowers those who seek to understand nature’s secrets.
Through nature research and conservation we explore the intricate tapestry of biodiversity in unexplored wilderness regions. Conduct comprehensive surveys to document flora and fauna, identifying new species and studying their ecological roles. Assess the threats posed by human activities and climate change, proposing sustainable conservation strategies. Collaborate with local communities, incorporating indigenous knowledge to preserve natural heritage. This multidisciplinary approach will deepen our understanding of nature’s wonders and inform efforts to safeguard our planet’s rich biodiversity.
Spark a lifelong love for nature! Our engaging programs connect people with the wonders of the environment. We encourage hands-on exploration, observation, and inquiry to foster understanding of ecosystems that cultivates scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. By instilling respect for the Earth, nature education inspires individuals to become responsible stewards, promoting conservation efforts and sustainable practices for a healthier planet.
